Algoma Wilderness Passenger Train
from Sault Ste Marie
Sault Ste Marie is the southern station
of the Algoma Passenger Train as well as the Agawa Canyon Train
tour. Sault Ste Marie is approximately 1/3 of the way across
Ontario on the Trans Canada Highway 17 and is also directly north
of Michigan across the international bridge at the northern end
of the I75,
On September 19, 2009 come
celebrate the 91st Anniversary of the Group of Seven painting
from the boxcar on the ACR.
This year's
event features the work of Franklin Carmichael.
This event is brought to
you by the Coalition for Algoma Passenger Trains, Community Development
Corporation of Sault Ste. Marie and Searchmont Resort.
With this event, you have
the option of driving yourself to the event or letting us provide
the transportation for you. If you choose to come with us, we
are meeting at the ACR station on Bay St. at 8:45 am. We should
arrive in Searchmont by 11:00 am. For those individuals driving
themselves, aim to be at Searchmont Resort for 11:00 am. If there
are any individuals that are physically unable to walk from the
train stop to Searchmont Resort, there will be access to a courtesy
shuttle.

The tickets that include
the train have limited seating, so be sure to get your tickets
early.
